Saudi public security officers monitored the fake campaign offices for Hajj and Umrah and arrested 27 expats for violating residence and work regulations.
The offenders engaged in several criminal acts that included marketing and promoting fake Hajj campaigns in Riyadh and Qassim provinces and seizing money from them.
Eleven of them are Egyptian, ten Syrian, two Pakistani, two Sudanese, two Yemeni and two Bangladeshi. They were all arrested, legal action was taken against them and the case was referred to the Public Prosecution.
Additionally, Public Security reported that an Egyptian was arrested for beating a citizen in a viral video clip. As a result of the interference procedures, it was found that the resident is employed in a delivery application, and the quarrel arose from a disagreement over the priority of the service.
An expat with a Syrian passport on a visit visa was arrested for stealing solar panels from two telecommunications sites and a citizen was arrested for transferring six Yemeni border security law violators.
Other arrests included Pakistani nationals and violators of residency laws who ran two fake Hajj campaigns and had large amounts of cash and receipt vouchers.
