Cholera Disease Infects 11 Expats

Eleven foreigners were found to be infected with cholera in the province of Jazan in Saudi Arabia, said the Ministry of Health.
“Initial clinical tests have revealed that the patients have contracted the infectious disease”, it said, adding that the cases had been spotted in a restricted area in the region of Al-Dayer Bani Malik.
The patients, who are all non-Saudis, had entered the country illegally after infiltrating the borders.
The health authorities in the province of Jazan said that all preventive measures had been taking to monitor the cases suffering from diarrheal syymptoms, adding that the patients contracted the disease out of Saudi Arabia.
