Delay In Paying Salaries To Workers Is A Violation Of The Law - MHRSD
Category: Expats

In Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) has reiterated that companies that delay salaries violate the Saudi Labor Law.

Through its unified application, Saudi nationals and expatriates can report violations of the Saudi Labor Law.

Answering a citizen inquiry, the HR Ministry clarified that delaying monthly salaries might reach the 10th day of the month, wondering about inspection campaigns.

As stated earlier, the Ministry considers January as the month for self-evaluation of companies. Self-evaluation has an important role in helping companies identify their compliance with the regulations and rules and to self-correct mistakes and errors.

The self-evaluation is also a requirement for receiving electronic services from the Ministry of Human Resources.

All giant, large, and medium sized companies are invited to register in the self-evaluation program and complete the evaluation online.

In addition, the Ministry clarified that, if companies do not meet their self-evaluation targets, no financial penalties will be imposed.
