Saudi authorities have confirmed that overseas Muslims with visas to perform Umrah or lesser pilgrimages can travel within the Kingdom during their stay.
In accordance with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, pilgrims on Umrah visas can remain in the holy cities of Makkah and Madina and travel across all of the Kingdom's cities during their stay.
- Saudi authorities have recently relaxed restrictions against Corona virus in order to ease Umrah procedures.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has lifted several precautionary measures, including canceling permits for praying at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and visiting the Prophet's Mosque in Madina.
- The Ministry has also announced that the immunization check for entry to both holy sites has been scrapped. Moreover, the ministry also canceled the once-required registration of immunization data for overseas Muslims to get an Umrah permit.
