During the probation period, the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Saudi Arabia has announced the availability of the Absher business online platform for issuing final exit visas.
Employers can issue a final exit visa online without visiting Jawazat offices using this service.
Using its official Twitter account, Saudi Jawazat announced the service targets employers of commercial workers, and one of its advantages is the possibility of issuing a final exit visa to a probationary or trainee worker.
Once an expat worker receives the final exit visa during his training period, it is not possible to cancel the visa or issue an iqama (resident permit).
A paperless management system, streamlined procedures, and digital transformation are the goals of the General Directorate of Passports behind introducing this service.
The passports department stated earlier this month that the worker's passport must have a validity of 60 days for a final exit visa to be issued.
Previously, the Kingdom's passport department clarified that an expat worker's final exit visa includes his dependents and companions, regardless of whether they are inside or outside the Kingdom.
