The Saudi General Directorate of Passports has announced that Sudanese expats who are unable to return to Saudi Arabia due to the ongoing conflict in their home country can renew their iqamas or residency permits electronically through the Absher or Moqeem apps. The process involves paying the necessary fees and ensuring that the expat's ID card is valid for at least 90 days.
According to Lt. Gen. Sulaiman Al Yahya, foreigners evacuated from Sudan to Saudi Arabia without entry visas will be given free visas, and those who have lost their documents will be provided with alternatives to facilitate their departure from the kingdom. Saudi Arabia has been conducting massive evacuations from Sudan, with over 5,400 people, including citizens and foreigners of various nationalities, having been evacuated so far.
