The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) has announced the addition of the renewal of Burmese nationals' residency permits (iqama) to the Tawasul service on the Absher platform.
This aims to make procedures easier for Bermawi Absher service recipients while also saving time and effort.
It also allows them to avoid having to go to the Jawazat offices for Absher services.
Bermawi nationals might use the service through their employer's account on the Absher platform, according to the Jawazat.
Filling out the application form for Iqama renewal is essential.
A Bermawi resident's personal portrait, a pledge form to carry his passport during the iqama's validity period, a copy of the Iqama, and a copy of the national ID of the employer should be attached with the application form.
The Jawazat stated that the Barmawi population in the slums that are being created in Makkah is given first priority in receiving services.
The service can be accessed via the Absher platform through the employer's account by selecting services from the list of khidmaty (my services) and then selecting the passports sector. Then they must select the Tawasul service; create a new application; specify the type of request
— services for residents within the Kingdom; select the sub-service
— renewal of Bermawis Iqama; write a brief description of the request in the request description box; select the file of attachments according to the formats available on the website, and finally submit the application.
It's worth noting that the Absher platform's message and request service has been renamed Tawasul to allow all Jawazat beneficiaries to process notes and resolve technical issues that prevent them from conducting their transactions electronically through Absher.
