In accordance with Saudi Vision 2030, Hafar Al-Batin Province will witness the opening of Qaisumah Airport, following its development and expansion to accommodate 700,000 passengers annually.
In 1962, Qaisumah Airport was established in Hafr Al-Batin, serving mostly Aramco employees, but later began to operate domestic flights.
As Qaisumah Airport expanded to accommodate more than 700,000 passengers per year, a common arrival hall was built for international and domestic flights. Additionally, the departure halls have been increased by 238%. Hafr Al-Batin will become one of the global transit stations of the Eastern Province after the inauguration of the new expansions at Qaisumah Airport.
Anro Al-Shami, Secretary of Hafr Al-Batin Chamber, said Qaisumah Airport will have a significant impact on the city, particularly the private sector. Facilitating business trips and attracting investments to Hafr Al-Batin.
There are 27 immigration centers in the Hafr Al-Batin Province, which has a population of about 1 million.
