Returning Expats Can Replace Their Driving Licenses

Saudi Arabia's traffic authorities have said that expats who leave the country on a final exit visa and return on a new visa can replace their old driving licenses.
Expatriates returning on new IDs are advised to check with the Saudi General Directorate of Traffic and apply for a driving licence using the new number.
Expatriates whose driving licence expires will be required to pay fines and fees, undergo a medical exam, check with the traffic department, and apply for a new one when they return to Saudi Arabia on a final exit visa.
According to the General Directorate of Traffic, foreigners entering Saudi Arabia on a visit visa can use an international driving licence or a valid foreign driving licence for one year.
