The Saudi Ministry of Justice on Monday issued a report highlighting the most prominent judicial achievements made over the last five years.
Titled the “Vision and impact,” the report sheds light on multiple justice reforms and the digital transformation of many judicial procedures as well as implementation of many projects, initiatives, decisions, and legislation that aimed to achieve efficiency and excellence in judicial services and sectors.
The Kingdom’s courts held more than 10 million judicial sessions and issued three million rulings during the period under review. Enforcement courts received more than three million requests, 99 per cent of which were dealt with electronically without the need to use paper or the presence of litigants.
More than 297,000 people benefited from the reconciliation platform called “Taradi”, which was launched by the ministry to enable litigants to settle their disputes amicably. Approximately 70,000 beneficiaries per day used the ministry’s Najiz portal, which offers over 100 digital services, while more than 44 million people used the ministry’s general portal.
The report also outlined achievements made in the transformation to the institutional judiciary, the development of the objective judicial consideration and the completion of the judiciary system. It also included justice reforms introudced to overcome obstacles that may face women in order to preserve and protect the family cohesion.
Digital transformation
The report included the digital transformation of many judicial procedures like the development of monitoring tools and follow-up and transparency, the activation of the prisoner service system and the complete digital transformation of the execution judiciary and the development of its tools.
It also outlines the full digital transformation of documentation, activating the reconciliation system, developing human cadres, taking care of the beneficiaries and strive to achieve their satisfaction, and monitor the Kingdom’s progress in the World Bank indices related to the judicial process.
The report monitored the most prominent numbers recorded by courts and notaries, in addition to the statistics of the digital platforms that the ministry launched during the reporting period.
