Saudi Food Authority Warns Against Eating Cotton Candy

The Saudi food regulatory authority has warned against eating the cotton candy due to the use of highly concentrated sugar.
The Saudi Food and Drug Authority said that the sweet, also called oriental cotton candy, uses artificial colours to attract children, regardless of health concerns reports Almarsd.
The sweet comes in fine strands made by blending flour roasted in butter into pulled sugar and garnished with ground pistachios nuts.
The SFDA statement advised parents not to allow children to eat the cotton candy sweet which contains “artificial colours of unknown origin”.
