According to Faisal Al-Foudan, Assistant Undersecretary for Labor Affairs in the Ministry of Human Resources in Saudi Arabia, the Friendly Settlement is an electronic platform for resolving labor disputes.
Al-Foudan stated during his interview on Al-Ekhbariya channel that friendly settlement initiative is one of the initiatives of the National Transformation Program that seeks to improve working conditions for expatriates.
Furthermore, he noted that the most important studies are now the ones integrating with the Saudi Vision 2030, pointing out that labor lawsuits are being filed with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, which made every effort during the Corona pandemic to maintain the work of friendly settlements to preserve the rights of employees and employers.
Earlier, the settlement process was conducted manually via the parties to a lawsuit, the submission and attendance of sessions in public offices, but now the process is fully automated 24/7.
