Category: Expats

According to the Public Prosecution in Saudi Arabia, abuse may be in any form of exploitation, or physical, psychological, or sexual abuse.

As the Public Prosecution said on Twitter, abuse is any form of exploitation, whether physical, psychological or sexual, committed by a person against another.

By exceeding the limits of his jurisdiction, authority, or responsibility or because of a family relationship, maintenance relationship, sponsorship, guardianship, or living dependency.

According to the Public Prosecution, the protection from abuse law's objectives are as follows:

* Protecting against all forms of abuse.

* Aid, treatment, shelter, and social, psychological, and health care.

* Hold the culprit accountable and punish him legally.

* Awareness-raising about abuse and its consequences among society members.

* Identifying the behavioral characteristics of society that indicate an appropriate environment for abuse to occur.

* Developing scientific and applied mechanisms to deal with abuse.
