The General Authority for Audiovisual Media launched the first cinema show in the Tabuk region today (Monday) in the presence of a number of interested and specialized in the field of the film industry and the media.

The authority said in a press release that the Kingdom is witnessing amazing growth in the entertainment industry, especially with the launch of cinema in April of 2018, so that we are living with more and more initiatives that provide new opportunities that contribute to the prosperity of this industry.

She added that with the launch of the cinematic showroom in Tabuk, the number of theaters in the Kingdom has reached 17, comprising 174 screens and 16,738 seats.

The authority pointed out that in light of the infrastructure infrastructure achieved by the cinema sector through the launch of the cinema initiative – one of the initiatives of the Quality of Life Program and one of the programs to achieve the vision of the Kingdom 2030 – it is moving with its partners towards expansion until the theaters reach all regions of the Kingdom.

The authority confirmed that it is committed to the continuous development to reach what the Vision 2030 aspires to provide multiple entertainment options for citizens and residents, and to increase annual spending on recreational activities, which contributes to stimulating growth and economic diversification and creating thousands of jobs for young people.
