Passports must be valid to travel to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states and other Arab countries, according to the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat).
In order to travel to GCC states and Arab countries, travelers must ensure that their passports have at least three months left in them, says Jawazat.
While it has emphasized that passports must have a validity period of no less than six months for those who wish to travel abroad.
It is worth mentioning that Saudi citizens and citizens of other GCC countries can now use their national identity cards for traveling in and out of Saudi Arabia after the Jawazat lifted the suspension of their use. Passports were the only travel documents they were allowed to use.
