A Saudi teacher tragically passed away from a heart attack minutes before the start of end-of-year exams at a primary school in south-western Saudi Arabia, according to local media reports. Omar Mesahli died on Thursday at Amr bin Qais School in Al Aridhah governorate, Jizan region, while preparing exam papers, as reported by Saudi news portal Sabq.
Local education authorities confirmed Mesahli’s death and extended their condolences to his family. He is the second teacher to die in Al Aridhah during the current academic year. Earlier, Arabic teacher Nayef Al Khaliui passed away, with his family discovering his death when they attempted to awaken him for school.
In August, Bandar Abdul Aziz, a dedicated physical education teacher, died on the first day of the academic year at a school in the Mecca region. These incidents highlight the dedication and challenges faced by educators in Saudi Arabia.
