Almost 1,400 jobs in various fields in the private sector were offered in the first Female Job Fair, organized by the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) in cooperation with Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC).
Thirty-nine businesses participated and 836 female jobseekers applied. The fair also provided workshops to help train women to enter the job market.
Mansour Al-Shathri, vice chairman of the RCCI, commended private sector institutions’ cooperation and responsiveness under the chamber’s directives and efforts to employ female and male jobseekers.
He said these directives support and keep up with the country’s plans and programs targeting labor nationalization.
These efforts will continue in order to establish several forums and provide opportunities for jobseekers,
