The Ministry of Interior's Absher platform has launched two new features for the national identity cards, according to Lt. Gen. Sulaiman Al-Yahya, the Acting Deputy Minister of Interior for Civil Status. The new features include the ability to issue national ID cards for family members and request replacement for damaged IDs.
The first feature allows Saudi citizens to electronically identify a family member, print a special form, and request the issuance of a national identity card for them. The service also offers a delivery option for the document to the national address.
The second feature enables Saudi citizens to request the issuance of a new national identity card electronically through their Absher account, along with a delivery service to their national address, without the need to visit the office.
Beneficiaries can access the procedures and requirements for these services by logging into their Absher accounts, selecting Civil Affairs from the My Services menu, and choosing the National ID Services icon.
These new features represent a significant advancement in the Absher platform's services, making it easier and more convenient for Saudi citizens to access critical government services from the comfort of their own homes.
