Clarification From Jawazat About The Fine When The Passport Expires
Category: Expats

The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Saudi Arabia confirmed that the expiration of the passport does not result in any fine or penalty in the Kingdom.

This response from Jawazat came after one of the beneficiaries asked on Twitter that, "How much is the violation for delaying the renewal of the passport?".

- The official account of the General Directorate of Passports responded it via Twitter, explaining, “Citizens have the right to obtain a passport whenever they want, and the expiration of the passport does not result in any fines.”

- Earlier this, Jawazat issued an important warning on Exit Re-Entry visas, after one of the beneficiary inquired saying, "The period for extending Exit Re-entry has expired without notifying us of message, Can I cancel it and issue another one?

- Jawazat responded it by saying, The instructions stipulate that the exit re-entry visa can be canceled before its expiry, if you do not want to use it in order to avoid the fine.”
