A new program has been launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development to open up jobs in the health and education sectors to expatriate dependent visa holders, according to the Okaz daily report.

The procedures to obtain this service have been set down by the ministry. To issue a dependents permit, users must first log into the Ajeer platform, then choose the Ajeer Dependents Service, fill out, and submit the contract. There is no fee for the service.

- Choose the Ajeer Dependents Service.
- Fill out and submit the contract.
Eligibility Criteria for Employers
Employers must meet certain requirements to hire expatriate dependents. These include:
- Having a current commercial registration.
- Not being restricted.
- Being registered with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
- Not being categorized within the red category in the Nitaqat system.
Compliance with Saudi Labor Laws
The aim of this service is to ensure that dependents can work in Saudi Arabia within the bounds of legal economic activity and in accordance with the rules and regulations set out by the Saudi Labor Law and other government agencies, all without having to have their sponsorship transferred.
Requirements for Expatriate Workers
According to the Ajeer platform, to work as an expatriate worker, either you or your dependent must meet certain requirements. These include:
- Having a valid iqama (residency permit).
- Being at least 18 years old.
- Having the appropriate professional accreditations.
- Being a spouse, relative, or legal guardian of the primary expatriate.
