The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Saudi Arabia has started extending the validity of iqamas for expatriates outside the Kingdom, and extending the validity of visit visas, exit and re-entry visas, automatically without any fees or financial compensation until 31st August 2021 (23-01-1443), as per the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
This extension was issued by the Minister of Finance, comes within the framework of the continuous efforts taken by the Kingdom's government to deal with the effects and consequences of the global pandemic (Covid-19), and within the precautionary and preventive measures that guarantee the safety of citizens and resident expats and to contribute in reducing the economic and financial effects.
- Saudi Jawazat confirmed that the extension will be done automatically in cooperation with the National Information Center (NIC) without the need to visit the headquarters of the Passports Departments, as follows:
1. Extending the validity of iqama and exit and re-entry visas for resident expatriates outside the Kingdom in the countries from which entry has been suspended as a result of the outbreak of the Corona virus until the date of 31st August 2021 (01/23/1443).
2. Extending the validity of Visit visas for visitors outside the Kingdom from countries whose entry has been suspended as a result of the outbreak of the Corona virus until 31st August 2021 (01/23/1443).
