Food Poisoning Outbreak In Riyadh: 35 Cases Linked To Restaurant

Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdali, the Ministry of Health spokesperson, has reported a surge in food poisoning cases connected to a particular restaurant in Riyadh, bringing the total to 35.

Among these cases, 27 are currently under intensive care, while 6 individuals have successfully recovered, and two have been discharged post-treatment.

The Ministry, in conjunction with relevant authorities, has initiated extensive epidemiological investigations to contain the situation and forestall potential future occurrences.

Prompt measures by the Riyadh Municipality include the immediate closure of the implicated restaurant and its affiliated branches, along with the central laboratory, for thorough investigations to determine the root cause of the outbreak. These closures are part of a comprehensive strategy to uphold public health standards.
