The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) predicts moderate to heavy rainfall across most regions of Saudi Arabia throughout April. This forecast comes with a warning of severe weather conditions, such as high-speed winds, reduced visibility, and fog formation. As per historical climate data, April is traditionally one of the rainiest months in the Kingdom.

Hussein Al-Qahtani, spokesperson for NCM, emphasizes the importance of vigilance and adherence to safety protocols in light of unpredictable weather patterns across Saudi regions. Collaboration between NCM and local authorities is vital for effective response and mitigation strategies.

NCM continuously monitors atmospheric conditions nationwide, collaborating closely with regional authorities to disseminate critical information and support operational efforts aimed at safeguarding lives and property.

Al-Qahtani highlights the variability of spring weather, noting a recent spring climate report indicating a slight decrease in rainfall compared to previous years, coupled with a modest temperature rise of approximately two degrees Celsius.

Notably, southern regions, particularly Al-Baha and its surrounding areas, have experienced significant rainfall, with records showing up to 75.2 mm.
