Saudi Arabia Shuts Hospital After Doctor Dies Of Coronavirus
Category: Coronavirus

A private hospital in Khobar, Saudi Arabia, has been shut down after a number of staff contracted COVID-19, Saudi media has reported.

Medical sources revealed that a number of hospital employees were infected with COVID-19 by attending to patients and then socialising with people in their accommodation.

The decision was taken by the command and control centre in the eastern area in coordination with the Ministry of Health to control the outbreak and adjust the situation.

On Saturday, Eastern Health province announced a doctor died of COVID-19, the third death in the Kingdom due to the pandemic.

Last month, Saudi Arabia recorded the first death of a resident doctor and a nurse after both were infected with the novel coronavirus, while working in a government hospital in the holy city of Mecca

King Saud University faculty member and a consultant in Hematology and Oncology Mohammad Al Faki also died of coronavirus.
