The Saudi cultural attache in the UK, Abdul Aziz Al-Maqoushi, held talks on Friday to strengthen links between the Brighton-based University of Sussex and Saudi universities.
Al-Maqoushi and an accompanying delegation met with Stephen Shute, the university’s pro vice chancellor for planning and resources, before touring nanotechnology laboratories at the university.
Abdullah Al-Shummari, Saudi Student Club president, thanked the attache for supporting Saudi students in the UK, motivating them to pursue degrees and contribute to the development of their country.

Al-Maqoushi said that students’ research will encourage scientific and industrial development in the Kingdom as part of Vision 2030.
Saudi researchers have made remarkable scientific achievements and discoveries in many fields, and are welcomed in UK universities for their competency in disciplines such as nanotechnology, industrial intelligence, engineering and medicine.
