The Saudi government held their first Cabinet session in Ramadan on Tuesday evening in Jeddah.

King Salman, who chaired the session at Al-Salam Palace in the Red Sea city, briefed the cabinet of his call with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

Saudi Arabia has condemned the ‘ugly’ aggression of the Israeli occupation forces against unarmed Palestinians. The king reiterated the Kingdom's firm positions towards the Palestinian cause and its support for the Palestinians to restore their inalienable legal rights, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The Cabinet also welcomed the decision issued by the Council of the Arab League at its Extraordinary Session at the level of Foreign Ministers held in Cairo and the final communiqué issued by the Seventh Extraordinary Islamic Summit Conference of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, both on the issue of Palestine.

The Cabinet highlighted the contents of the king’s Ramadan speech in which he wished security, stability, amicability and peace to Islamic nations and the entire world.
