A Saudi intermediate student died in his school premises following a stroke caused by the cessation of blood circulation, according to General Department of Education in Jeddah.
Hamoud Al-Sughairan, spokesman of the department, said the boy died after collapsing at the courtyard of Khalid Bin Fahd Intermediate School on Monday morning after suffering from cessation of blood circulation. He was the first grade student of the intermediate school.
The Saudi Red Crescent Authority volunteers took the student immediately to the hospital where he breathed his last, the spokesman said.
Al-Sughairan said the Education Department conveyed its condolences to the bereaved family members of the student. It assured them that the department is keen to investigate the causes that led to the death of the boy. The director general of education in Jeddah has ordered formation of a committee to investigate the causes of death, and that is in coordination with the concerned authorities.
