The General Authority of Customs reviewed its march in the use of live means imported from several European countries with precise specifications, for its important role in enhancing homeland security, over a period of 40 years.
She explained that the live means "dogs" were used to detect explosives in 1998 and for penetration of the customs department in 2004 and one year later, they were used in the rescue and tracing program, and in 2010 they were used to inspect travelers through airports, and in 2018 to detect tobacco and cash.
She added that during 40 years, 2,400 living methods were trained by the various security agencies, and one of its most important daily tasks - in addition to what was mentioned - was the detection of live explosives, weapons and drugs and the detection of those infected with the new Corona virus (Covid-19).
