In an official decree, the Supreme Court of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced that April 9th, 2024, will mark the culmination of the blessed month of Ramadan, with Wednesday, April 10th, 2024, designated as the inaugural day of Eid Al-Fitr and the beginning of the month of Shawwal across the nation.

This proclamation, issued by the Royal Court of Saudi Arabia, follows the inability to sight the Shawwal Crescent on Monday evening at the Hotait Sudair and Tamir observatories within the Kingdom.

In adherence to Islamic tradition, which emphasizes moon sightings to determine the onset of Shawwal and the conclusion of Ramadan, this decision has brought unity and joy to Muslims throughout the country as they eagerly prepare for the festivities associated with Eid Al-Fitr, the celebratory occasion marking the end of the fasting month.

Joining Saudi Arabia in this declaration, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have also confirmed that April 9th, 2024, will conclude the holy month of Ramadan, with April 10th, 2024, designated as Eid Al-Fitr day.
